What’s Our Difference! 

Because “Roving English” is run by Myself a New Zealander and My Wife a local Hong Kong Chinese we see things from the perspective of two different cultures this gives our little company a real advantage. 

My Wife Yvonne understands the local culture and works as the main connection between our Schools and Centre’s, she can give our clients a Professional and Personal touch. We can have a better relationship with them being smaller and we handle the working relationship directly. 

Bigger companies rely on so many different people with so many titles not at “Roving English” you deal directly with the owners Stephen & Yvonne.

Coming from New Zealand I understand our Western Teachers and give them the support and training needed so they are confident and perform at a higher and professional level knowing we are there always to help them and the school develop in a relationship that will benefit the students learning.

As a Westerner I understand my Teachers want to be part of a team that encourages the Teachers to take part on a Social and Professional level together. Using experiences of all the teachers to benefit the whole group as one Teacher’s strength in one area can encourage others in our team. 

With a real understanding of the Local culture where our students live and the Western culture where our teachers come from and where English is mainly spoken we can design the best lesson for Hong Kong students that encourages them to grow in confidence and learn English they can apply to their everyday lives .
